How it Works

 

If you are visiting any of the towns or villages in the Cotswolds listed below and would like to have a go at our little Treasure Hunts as you walk around, quizzes can be purchased here.  It will also help keep the children amused and interested for the day.

PLEASE NOTE: You will not be digging anywhere for treasure..!!!!!  Please dont....We do not want to be sued by any council for inciting criminal damage or trespass..!!   


You will be sent an email with a link to a PDF with 30 questions on for the particular town or village you have chosen,  and you will also be shown the route to take to find the answers to the questions we have set.  Some will be easy, some more difficult, and some cryptic....getting inside our heads a little may help...!!!

When completed and you are happy with your answer's, just go to our SUBMIT YOUR ANSWERS and add your answers from your PDF sheet to the page and send them to us.

PRIZE:
​We do give a Christmas Hamper to the highest score at the end of each year.

The current top ten standings can be found in The Roll of Honour

A fresh set of question is added in January/February each year.

COST:

We charge just £6.00 ​for each quiz.

When can we do it?

You can choose any day you like to take part.  The only stipulation is that if you are taking part for a chance to win the Hamper we must have your answers returned to us by 1st November, 2025.

FAQ
  • Is there a limit to how many times we can enter?
    No, you can enter as many times as you like and for multiple towns or villages. But you can only submit one answer sheet per entry.
  • Must we get the answers back to you by 1st November at the latest
    Yes, for a chance of winning the Christmas Hamper we can only accept answers retuned by 1st November. Any answers submitted after 1st November will be void. A lot of people just take part for fun and never send back their answers back, the choice really is yours.
  • Can we buy questions for more than one village at the same time?
    Yes you can. If you are visiting The Cotswolds for more than a day and would like to take the hunt in more than one town or village whilst here, then you can purchase for as many towns or villages as you like.
  • Are any of the answers to questions on private land?
    NO........absolutely not, you do not need to go onto any private land to find the answer to any question. Please do not go onto anyone's private land.
  • Will my personal information be safe?
    Absolutely, we would never share any information you may give us with anyone.
  • Is there a start and finish time?
    No, you choose whenever you want to do the quiz.
  • Can we share sheets?
    We obviously cant stop you from sharing sheets, but when you submit your answers the name must be the same at the name that purchased the quiz and the purchase order number will be required. Only one answer per sheet purchased will be valid.
  • Will we see others taking part in the Treasure Hunt at the same time as us?
    If you take part in the quiz at a weekend or in the school holidays you will almost certainly see others taking part.
  • How will we know if we have won the hamper?
    We keep the website updated with top scorers. The cut off point for answers is November 1st. The top scorer will be notified by email and phone and details will be taken for delivery. Delivery is normally the second week in December, but the delivery company will contact you to finalise details.
  • The "Submit your results" page says guests only?"
    Yes, to avoid spam you do need a password to open this page. This can be found on your PDF question sheet that is sent out to you. The password does change each year.
  • Can we take part as a family?
    Yes, if you look at the roll of honour many families take part.
